Royal LePage Turner Realty began as a vision held by one determined REALTOR®. Gaye Turner, licensed in 1974, spent over two decades building her reputation across Central Newfoundland before taking the leap to open her own brokerage.
In 1998, she founded Turner Realty in Gander — a small, client-first operation built on the belief that local knowledge and personal service could outperform anyone. It worked.
By 2007, the brokerage had grown enough to join the Royal LePage franchise — gaining national brand recognition, marketing tools, and a referral network while keeping its independent, locally-owned character.
In 2014, Gaye's son Mike Turner — who had earned his licence in 2009 and spent years learning the business from the ground up — joined her in acquiring the brokerage outright. Together, they incorporated as Royal LePage Turner Realty (2014) Inc., setting the stage for growth.
Mike assumed the role of Broker of Record in 2022, and under his leadership the brokerage has expanded to three active offices across Newfoundland & Labrador, earned multiple national brokerage awards including A.E. LePage Brokerage of the Year — East Coast and Best in Tech, and built a network of agents who share the Turner Realty values: hard work, honesty, and community first.
Mike grew up in the business — literally. After earning his licence in 2009, he spent years in the field before co-acquiring the brokerage with his mother Gaye in 2014. As Broker of Record since 2022, Mike leads an award-winning brokerage — twice named Brokerage of the Year for the East Coast and a three-time Best in Tech recipient. He's built Turner Realty into a four-office network while keeping the same client-first values it was founded on.
