Canada's largest public foundation dedicated exclusively to funding women's shelters and violence prevention programs. Royal LePage Turner Realty is proud to contribute to every transaction.
Learn About the Foundation →The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation was founded in 1998 through a unanimous decision by Royal LePage brokers and agents across Canada to support women's shelters and violence prevention programs. It stands as Canada's largest public foundation dedicated exclusively to this cause.
For over 25 years, the foundation has worked tirelessly to ensure that every woman and child fleeing violence has access to safe shelter and preventive support. With representation across the country, the foundation reaches shelters in communities large and small, urban and rural.
By choosing to work with Royal LePage Turner Realty, you're directly supporting this life-changing mission. A meaningful portion of every transaction we facilitate goes directly to the Shelter Foundation.
On any given day, approximately 3,000 women and 2,500 children are living in emergency shelters across Canada, seeking safety and support.
The foundation supports 450+ women's shelters across Canada, ensuring that aid reaches communities in every province and territory.
Beyond emergency shelter, the foundation funds violence prevention and healthy relationship programs that help break cycles of abuse before they start.
"Announced at Royal LePage National Kick Off on January 31, 2025, this award recognizes extraordinary commitment and fundraising excellence."
"Recognized for extraordinary fundraising efforts in Happy Valley–Goose Bay, helping bring shelter support and violence prevention programs to Labrador."
Our agents and staff donate a meaningful portion of commissions with every real estate transaction — ensuring that every home sale supports the foundation's mission.
Every December, all Turner Realty offices run the 12 Business Days of Christmas — an annual donation drive collecting gifts and essentials for local shelters. In Gander, donations go to Cara Transition House; in Happy Valley–Goose Bay, they support Libra House.
Our Happy Valley–Goose Bay team hosts an annual Masquerade Ball fundraiser for Libra House, organized by Karen Pomeroy and Roberta Primmer. Over four events, the ball has raised more than $35,000 for domestic violence services in Labrador — even continuing after the 2018 fire that destroyed the original Libra House facility.
